Request account deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and related data from the PetMatch app, developed and operated by PetMatch. You can request deletion at any time using either of the two methods below.

1. Delete from inside the app

Open the PetMatch app and sign in to your account.
Go to Profile → Settings.
Select Delete account.
Confirm the request. Your account and related data will be deleted on the timeline described in section 3.

2. Request by email

If you cannot access the app, you can send an account deletion request by email to contact@petmatch.vn with the subject “Account deletion request”, including the email address you registered with so we can verify it. We process requests within 30 days and reply by email.

3. What is deleted and how long it is kept

Once your deletion request is confirmed, we delete the following data:

Account information: your name, email address, profile photo and sign-in details.
Pet information: photos, name, breed, age and any identifying details you provided.
Activity data: interactions, content and preferences tied to your account.

Most data is deleted as soon as the request completes. System backups may retain data for up to 30 days, after which it is permanently erased.

4. What we retain

We may keep a limited amount of data where the law requires it or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution and accounting obligations. This data is stored securely, only for as long as necessary (usually up to 90 days, or longer if required by law), and is then deleted or anonymised.
